Top Drill Safety Tips

1. The first and the foremost thing that you need to take care of while working with a driller is taking care of your clothing. It is advisable not to wear loose sleeves and heavier jewelry. Try to wear a short sleeve dress and always tie your hairs back while working with drill drivers.

2. Using a drill stand while working with driller is the best practice. It will give you some grip and it avoids the drill from slipping. Using a drill stand will also help you to drill a straight hole in the harder materials.

3. If you are the power tools user and you use the best hand tools then you may probably know this. You need to set the drill bit properly. The drill bit should be properly inserted into the chuck and it should be firmly tightened to prevent the driller from slipping again.

4. You need to apply proper pressure to the drill driver in order to drill a perfect hole. Don’t apply overpressure as it may cause your drill driver to be a hazardous one. And also your power drill may slip or you may lose the grip if you apply heavier pressure.

5. It is always advisable to make a center punch before you start to drill the holes. It will leave an impression on the wood which in turn will be a target for your drill driver to drill perfectly straight holes.
